DUNE DISTILLING EMERGING ARTIST COMPETITON
The Western Australian coastline provides us the perfect inspiration for dune distilling. The marvellous balance of rugged uncompromising terrain coupled with the beauty of its native flora provide the perfect muse.
Dune Distilling Co. are looking for a similarly inspired artist to provide an original artwork to be incorporated into our next gin label. This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging artist to showcase their creative skills and have their artwork promoted alongside our brand.

How to Enter

With your entry form you will need to attach a high quality digital image (jpeg) of yourartwork, no larger than 2MB.
Entries must be received by 5pm on 25 June 2020. No late entries shall be received. Dune Distilling will not be responsible for any files not transmitted or received by the closing date.
To enter you must be a permanent Australian resident aged 18 years and over, currently residing in Western Australia.
For the purposes of this competition an emerging artist is defined as someone who is in the first five years of their professional practice or is still completing study in a relevant programme.
The prize is open to original artworks in any medium. However entrants should consider that the artwork will be reproduced on a printed label and should be suitable to such reproduction.
The work must be an original artwork created exclusively by the artists. This prize is not open to collaborative works. It is the artists responsibility to ensure that their artwork contains no material or imagery that is the intellectual property of others or may infringe upon any other civil or criminal legal codes.
All artworks must be a new artwork completed within the past 12 months.
The winning artwork will be incorporated into the label of one of Dune Distilling’s up coming Gin releases; including rhubarb, thyme and hibiscus botanicals and a green tea gin.
Artists may choose to use this as inspiration for their piece or may wish to draw on wider references that relate to Dune Distilling, craft and Western Australia. Explicit content will not be considered.
Up to three finalists will be selected. These finalists will be notified and further images of their artwork or other details may be requested.
Finalists must provide a high resolution image of your artwork within 7 days of receiving the request from Dune Distilling.
The successful artist will receive:
7.1. $500 cash prize, to be paid once the original artwork has been received by Dune Distilling and licensing forms have been completed by the Artist.
7.2. The Artist’s winning submission to be incorporated into a Dune Distilling gin label for a single release, with the artists name to be acknowledged on the label.
7.3. A feature in Dune Distilling’s customer newsletter.
7.4. Social media exposure via Dune Distilling platforms and bio feature on the Dune Distilling web page.
7.5. Acknowledgment in associated media and PR for the release of the gin which their artwork is used for.
The winning art work shall be acquired and come the property of Dune Distilling (via its parent company VLVF Pty Ltd).
The successful artist will deliver the winning artwork to Dune Distilling’s offices in either Perth or Margaret River. Delivery in good condition is required. The artwork will be required to be delivered within seven (7) days of notification that they have been the successful recipient of the prize.
As part of the conditions of acquisition of the winning work, the winning artist will grant licence to Dune Distilling (via its parent company VLVF Pty Ltd) to reproduce images of the artwork in electronic and printed forms eg as part of label design on Dune Distilling products and for general publicity and marketing purposes. The artwork may be used in
full or part as required by Dune Distilling. No further royalties or fees will be payable to the Artist for reproductions of the artwork in full or partial form by Dune Distilling.
The personal details requested on the Entry Form will only be used for the purposes of assessing your entry and establishing your eligibility.
Costs of producing the high resolution image for final judging are solely at the expense of the Artist. The cost of packaging and delivering the artwork to Dune Distilling’s offices in either Perth or Margaret River is solely the responsibility of the Artist.
The selection of the winning entry will be solely at the discretion of Dune Distilling and will its decision will be final. No communication will be entered into.
